The path starts from Gambarie (1,324 m), where the Observatory for Biodiversity is located, and climbs up to 1,366 m altitude near the Reggio Mountain from where the long descent begins, leading to the Passage dei Petrulli (1057 m) near the secular Serra where Piedmontese soldiers wounded Garibaldi, and continues up to near the hamlet of Straorino (580 m).
